Scarlett Johansson is Woody Allen’s muse

The beautiful and statuesque actress Scarlett Johansson has been known as director Woody Allen’s most recent muse. After doing two movies with him (which was shot in Great Britain) she’s back under his helm. Director Allen’s latest project is a film based in Barcelona, Spain. According to the eccentric director (who is rarely out of USA), the movie will be a “love letter to Barcelona, and from Barcelona to the world”.

The Barcelona project, as yet untitled, is reportedly about two American tourists who become involved with a Spanish painter played by Spanish actor Javier Bardem and a jealous ex-girlfriend played by Penelope Cruz. The two tourists are played by Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall. The new movie started shooting last Monday in Spain’s northern city of Oviedo. Scarlett was seen shooting a scene in the city’s classic Hotel de La Reconquista. Filming is also taking place in the northern Spanish region of Asturias.
