Scarlett’s singing career is going full force!

The statuesque Lost in Translation star is not just doing an album with Tom Waits songs, she’s also singing with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Celebration! Cool huh?? Not only that, her debut album will be produced by David Sitek of TV on the Radio fame. He must really be impressed with her voice, enough to produce her first album. According to the Daily Advertiser, Scarlett spent “33 days in Maurice [Louisiana] recording her debut CD at Dockside Studio.” The paper further relates that Scarlett’s “boyfriend Ryan Reynolds visited for two weeks.” How sweet of him!

Anyway the studio owner, Steve Nail, described Scarlett’s music as “like a theater, big screen. Lots of heavy bass tones in it. Without a bass guitar, we used all kind of different instruments to create these sounds. It was a great experiment. Very avant garde. She sounds like Marilyn Monroe.” Wow! To be compared to the great Monroe is great! We just hope Scarlett will live up to his praise. The studio owner further adds that “her CD will go platinum and win a Grammy..” Double wow! This guy is really optimistic huh? Just do your best Scarlett! And leave the rest to us, your fans =)
