Scarlett Sings Tom Waits

The post’s title is significant because it is the title of Scarlett Johansson’s first ever recording album. Yes dear readers, the Lost in Translation actress is not just a singer now, but a certified recording artist! Tom Waits’ publicist has already confirmed this good news. Tom Waits has been described by Fox News’ Roger Friedman as “one of the premier singer-songwriters in the business.” Hmm, this latest project of Scarlett sounds very good! But can she sing?

To remind you all, Scarlett has already lent her voice to record a version of Gershwin brothers standard “Summertime” for this year’s “Unexpected Dreams: Songs From the Stars” charity compilation. Also, the bombshell star has appeared onstage with “The Jesus and Mary Chain” for the song “Just Like Honey” at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival earlier this summer. My, Scarlett has been busy singing! Does she want to be a full-time actress OR be a part-time singer, part-time actress? Well, if you’re talented, there’s no need to choose between acting and singing!
